Tri-band Wi-Fi 7 with 6 GHz for a strong Mesh home network
Wi-Fi 7 is optimized for households with many wireless terminal devices. Along with the 2.4-GHz and 5-GHz bands, the 6-GHz band of the FRITZ!Box 6690 Pro provides additional capacity for even more speed and less interference. Thanks to Multi-Link Operation (MLO), devices transmit concurrently over multiple bands while Punctured Mode selectively filters out interference. The results are maximum speed, high stability, and reliable performance in the entire Mesh home network. The FRITZ!Box 6690 Pro achieves Wi-Fi speeds of up to 5760 Mbit/s (6 GHz), 5760 Mbit/s (5 GHz) and 688 Mbit/s (2.4 GHz).
Versatility for networking and telephony
Along with super-fast Wi-Fi, the FRITZ!Box 6690 Pro offers high-performance connections for wired devices and state-of-the-art telephony. One 2.5-gigabit LAN port and three gigabit LAN ports enable fast, stable connections for PCs, NAS systems, smart TVs, or game consoles. For telephony there are ports for two analogue phones or answering machines, as well as an integrated DECT base station for up to six cordless phones. Five integrated answering machines as well as functions such as call lists, call block settings, quick-dial numbers and call diversion offer additional convenience.
Smart home with DECT and Zigbee

With FRITZ!Failsafe a second internet connection can be configured as the failover protection. If the cable connection is interrupted, the FRITZ!Box can automatically switch to alternative internet access. For example, this backup connection can be a second FRITZ!Box with mobile network access connected via LAN. A mobile dongle connected via USB can also be configured as a secondary internet connection. This feature is ideal for anyone who depends upon a reliable internet connection – be it in the office or when working from home.
