FRITZ! is expanding its smart home portfolio with the new FRITZ!Smart Energy 201 smart plug. The new smart indoor plug allows you to turn devices on and off and accurately measure energy consumption while providing greater convenience and energy efficiency in everyday life through customizable automation. Thanks to its compact and simple design, this smart plug fits into virtually any power strip and requires just a single LED/button. Despite its compact size, it delivers maximum performance: The improved relay enables the safe switching of high-power devices (3680 W / 16 A). The energy consumption of the switchable socket remains below 0.2 W at all times. The FRITZ!Smart Energy 201Öffnet in einem neuen Fenster smart plug is now available in shops for €49 (recommended retail price 11/26).
Precise energy analysis and intelligent time control
The FRITZ!Smart Energy 201 accurately measures and analyses the electricity consumption of connected devices, thereby enabling targeted optimization of energy consumption. You can view your current usage in the FRITZ!App Smart Home, including a detailed history of past readings. The free MyFRITZ!Net service also extends this analysis to include a comparison with other FRITZ!Smart Energy plugs in the home. The smart plug helps identify specific opportunities for savings and achieve a sustainable reduction in energy consumption. Smart routines allow connected devices to be controlled flexibly based on energy consumption or schedules, for example to automatically put devices into standby mode or to simulate occupancy during holidays by turning them on and off at random intervals. A particular highlight is the enhanced geofencing feature, which is implemented via the zones created in the FRITZ!App Smart Home. Devices can be turned on or off automatically when entering or leaving a zone.
Easy to set up and versatile control options
The FRITZ!Smart Energy 201 connects to the home network via DECT and is easy to configure using the FRITZ!App Smart Home or the FRITZ!Box. Control is flexible and can be carried out at home or remotely via smartphone, tablet or PC. The FRITZ!Smart Energy 201 can also be controlled via voice commands through popular platforms such as Apple Home, Google Home, or Amazon Alexa – thanks to the Matter bridge function of the FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro or the FRITZ!Smart Gateway.
