The latest release of the FRITZ!App Smart Home makes setting up and controlling smart home devices much easier – as with radiator controls, switchable devices such as smart plugs or lights can now be configured directly in the app and controlled with ease even when on the go. The update is now available for iOS and Android devices in the respective app store.
More flexibility in the smart home
To make the app more user-friendly, not only can it be used to set up smart home devices, but also to configure switching that is applied one time or on a regular basis. For example, the energy consumption of a washing machine that is connected to the FRITZ!Smart Energy 210 smart plug can be recorded. This data can then be used to configure a schedule in the app that is individually tailored to the user's needs. This works both in the home network and when you are away from home. Seasonal Christmas lights can be automatically turned on and off as required. The FRITZ!App Smart Home displays the energy consumption.
Keep tabs on energy consumption
Anyone with a digital electricity meter must also have a FRITZ! Smart Energy 250. The small current sensor is attached magnetically to the infrared interface of digital electricity meters. It measures the total energy consumption and the feed-in from photovoltaic systems, which it then transmits to the FRITZ!OS. This allows FRITZ! users to see how much electricity was consumed and generated at specific times in the entire household. Especially with dynamic electricity tariffs, it is advisable to use energy-intensive appliances during cheaper off-peak periods.
Save money during the heating season
The FRITZ!Smart Thermo 302 intelligent radiator controls can already be controlled via FRITZ!App Smart Home and individually configured for each room according to heating needs. This especially saves money during the heating season. The ability to configure additional smart home devices in the app means even greater convenience for FRITZ! users and allows them to control their smart home more efficiently with just one app.
