At the MWC26 in Barcelona from 2 to 5 March, FRITZ!, the European manufacturer of broadband, 5G, and Mesh Wi-Fi solutions, is presenting its innovations for a high-performance, reliable, and sustainably networked home. The focus is on the further expansion of the Wi-Fi 7 portfolio, groundbreaking new FRITZ!Box models for 5G and 4G for Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) as well as prospects for Wi-Fi 8. FRITZ! is premiering the quad-band Mesh extender FRITZ!Repeater 6700 Pro and the FRITZ!Box 6835 5G with Wi-Fi 7. Visitors can also discover solutions for multi-gigabit fiber optics for XGS-PON, GPON, and AON like the FRITZ!Box 5630 XGS and the FRITZ!Box 5630, and learn about FRITZ!'s commitment to digital sovereignty and sustainability. On site at Stand E35 in Hall 7, network providers and trade visitors can also experience live demos that show how Wi-Fi management via User Services Platform (USP) can strengthen customer loyalty, and how FRITZ! Failsafe can be used to realize efficient fallback protection.

Premiere of the FRITZ!Box 6835 5G – FWA with Wi-Fi 7 for stationary and mobile flexibility

FRITZ! is introducing the new FRITZ!Box 6835 5G, a new product for Fixed Wireless Access. The innovative FRITZ!Box 6835 5G combines the latest 5G technology with Wi-Fi 7 to offer maximum flexibility for internet access via the mobile network at up to 2 Gbit/s in stationary or mobile use. It supports ESIM and SIM and is supplied with power via a USB-C port, so that it can even be operated via power bank. The new FRITZ!Box is ideal for use in regions with gaps in broadband coverage to allow fast internet everywhere mobile networks are available. Wi-Fi 7 equipped with dual-band 2 x 2 antennas provides for data rates of up to 3.5 Gbit/s via Wi-Fi. Devices can also enjoy fast net-work connections with a cable connection via a 2.5-Gbit/s and a 1-Gbit/s LAN port. Alternatively, the FRITZ!Box 6835 5G is also easy to deploy on another FRITZ!Box as a FRITZ! Failsafe solution in case of disruptions on connections via fiber optics, DSL or cable. FRITZ! is also showing the small, compact FRITZ!Box 6825 4G. This robust mobile network router offers stable internet via 4G with Wi-Fi 6. Thanks to its power supply via USB-C and compatibility with all international mobile networks, this FRITZ!Box is the perfect companion for the home and on the go. It also offers fallback protection through FRITZ! Failsafe.

FRITZ! the only choice for fiber optics – up to 10 gigabit/s with Wi-Fi 7 for all European standards

FRITZ! is the first choice for European network operators and users whenever fast fiber optic connections are concerned. FRITZ! knows the demands of fiber optic networks with all expansion stag-es of XGS-PON up to 10 Gbit/s as well as GPON and AON. At the MWC26 FRITZ! is presenting its comprehensive fiber optic portfolio, comprising FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro, FRITZ!Box 5690 XGS, 5690 plus the new products FRITZ!Box 5630 XGS and FRITZ!Box 5630. These two compact models offer: Fiber optic speeds of up to 10 Gbit/s for maximum bandwidth with the FRITZ!Box 5630 XGS and up to 2.5 Gbit/s for GPON and 1 Gbit/s for AON directly on the fiber optic connection with the FRITZ!Box 5630. Both models also offer strong Wi-Fi 7 with up to 3.5 Gbit/s for fast, stable Wi-Fi along with multi-gigabit sockets: One 10-Gbit/s WAN/LAN port (5630 XGS) or one 2.5-Gbit/s WAN/LAN port (5630) as well as three gigabit LAN ports each provide for optimal distribution of data to cabled network devices. Convenience is increased by the simple operability with FRITZ!Apps and comprehensive functions like VPN, smart home integration, and telephony.

Quad-band and tri-band Wi-Fi 7: FRITZ!Repeater 6700 Pro and FRITZ!WLAN Stick 6700

FRITZ! continues to fulfil its pioneering role in the areas of Mesh Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi 7 by expanding its already extensive portfolio comprised of high-performance FRITZ!Repeaters and Mesh Wi-Fi Sets. At the core of the innovations introduced at the MWC is the new FRITZ!Repeater 6700 Pro, which achieves data rates of up to 18 Gbit/s. This quad-band repeater exploits the entire bandwidth of Wi-Fi 7 on the four frequency bands 6 GHz, 2 x 5 GHz, and 2.4 GHz. This powerful Wi-Fi as well as one 10-Gbit/s and one 2.5-Gbit/s fast LAN port grant the new FRITZ!Repeater high performance for many mobile devices and applications. FRITZ! is also exhibiting the FRITZ!WLAN Stick 6700 for tri-band Wi-Fi 7 with up to 2.8 Gbit/s, an easy way to offer a Wi-Fi upgrade to notebooks, PCs, and printers. The tiny powerhouse also supports Wi-Fi 7 on the 6-GHz band, and conveniently provides maximum internet speed and optimal stability. Thanks to its simple setup on any router and WPS, it is ready for use in no time at all on any notebook or PC with Windows.

FRITZ! and the next wireless generation: Wi-Fi 8

FRITZ! is prepared for the next wireless generation: Wi-Fi 8 (IEEE 802.11bn). The upcoming standard is slated for release in the next two years and promises significantly increased performance on all three bands, 6 GHz, 5 GHz, and 2.4 GHz. The emphasis is on increased Wi-Fi performance, especially on the edges of the Wi-Fi coverage area in the home as well as optimised interaction between access points and mobile devices. Wi-Fi 8 combines innovative technologies to enable faster reaction times, more robust connections and lower latencies, as well as reduced energy consumption. Wi-Fi 8 is backward-compatible to all standards and also provides for better connections with energy-saving appliances (IoT devices). Upload traffic, for instance for video conferences, is also to profit from Wi-Fi 8. With the next major FRITZ!OS, FRITZ! is paving the way for Wi-Fi 8 and already beginning with development of the next Wi-Fi generation. Experts at the FRITZ! stand will explain the advantages of Wi-Fi 8 with FRITZ!.

Improved Wi-Fi management and fallback protection – for strong customer loyalty

At the MWC26 FRITZ! will present live demos for improved Wi-Fi management on the basis of USP (User Services Platform). Via the MyFRITZ!Net service, or via the TR-369 interface on a FRITZ!Box, network providers have the possibility to help individual customers optimize their Wi-Fi networks from afar and thus strengthen their customer loyalty. Live at the stand FRITZ! will also demonstrate its efficient fallback protection: The FRITZ! Failsafe solution will soon offer two different ways to guarantee a stable connection during disrupted internet service. Starting with FRITZ!OS 8.20 it will be possible to deploy a second FRITZ!Box with mobile internet access, like the FRITZ!Box 6860 5G, for instance, as a backup to the FRITZ!Box for the regular internet connection for whenever the main connection fails. Another addition with the next FRITZ!OS is that users can operate every FRITZ!Box for mobile networks, such as, for instance the FRITZ!Box 6850 5G or 6835 5G, behind a fiber optic modem (ONT) so that a mobile connection automatically replaces any disrupted fiber optic connection.
